Call the Texas Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400 for potentially abusive situations that include but are not limited to: serious injuries, any injury to a child 5 years or younger, and immediate need for medical treatment (including suicidal thoughts). Effective September 1, 2023, anonymous reports cannot be made, so a reporter must provide a first and last name as well as a home or business phone number. However, a reporter’s name is confidential by law. Anonymous reports can still be made to local and state law enforcement agencies.
